Sweet Confections Indulgence Row Volume 1 Danyelle Ferguson Books

This story starts with the heroine discovering that her "boyfriend" is actually married and has kids. She had no idea as he was from Italy and he traveled a lot and he never mentioned a family. She is furious and she tries to leave him in a restaurant but he is not giving up. that is, until the great big guy that is the manager steps in and sends him on his way and takes her back to his office to collect herself.

Turns out he is a retired pro hockey player. From this point on there is a bit of stalking, vandalizing, etc. going on. I thought it was more of a mystery than a romance. There are some surprises that you don't see coming, some things that seem to be left unexplained, but they eventually get to their happy ever after. She and the pro hockey player that is.

There was absolutely no sex involved! Not even with the big ole pro hockey player!!! In fact, the only reference to "s.e.x." is ..."you know!" One reviewer said there were "swear words" but for the life of me I don't remember any. The whole family seemed so over the top clean and rather Pollyannaish that it surprises me that they even knew swear words. This story could easily be approved for young teens. I would certainly recommend it for them.

I was not paid for this review. I am not an author nor do I know one. I am not kin to this writer. I am a reader and this is just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less.

Sweet Confections Indulgence Row Volume 1 Danyelle Ferguson Books Reviews

This was a great story with a dash of suspense and danger which carried to the end. The story was dominated by the romance (which was very sweet) and the suspense and danger, while essential and well done, was more background for most of the story. There are allusions to faith but nothing overt-just enough to make it obvious that there was a belief system. Definitely a book worth reading.
I received this book free from one of the book subscription emails.
Rachel is a fiery red headed woman.
Graydon is a calm caring man.
The chemistry is okay between these two.
I enjoyed the story even though it moved along a tad slow.
I like that they didn't have sex right off. Getting to the sexy stuff wasn't what this story was about.
Well worth the read. I love the idea of recipes being part of the book. Great idea. I can't wait to try them out.
This was a fun read about a former Pro-Hockey player and an awesome baker! I love how there's some mystery thrown in too! I did not like the three swear words and although I'm really looking forward to the next book, the one chapter preview at the end already had three swear words. I still love the characters and how they made it through everything with flying colors! I also love the recipes at the end! My little girl was super excited to see her name in the book! (I won a contest, so our name was one of the founding families.)
I love the great story-line and wonderful character development. When Rachel Marconi finds out her boy friend is already married and has a family she tries to ditch him in a restaurant he becomes a bit of a bully. Ex hockey player, Graydon Green comes to Rachel's rescue and tries to get her to accept a date with him but she is very hesitant. Yet when her bakery is vandalized, Rachel is willing to accept Graydon's help. From this point on the story changes from a charming romance to an intriguing romantic suspense novel. This a great story. Read and enjoy.
This cute romance features a bakery and baker and an ex-professional hockey player. The two come together under strange circumstances. I loved all the goodie references (and the end has some recipes to try), and how the romance develops between the two. I also really liked the mystery in this book, as bad things keep happening to the bakery and you don’t know who’s causing the trouble (you think you do, but aren’t quite sure). There are lots of twists and turns and it was a fun book to read. I really liked this clean romance.
After learning that her boyfriend Nico is married, Rachel breaks up with him with the
help of a guy named Grayson. Rachel swears off dating, but fate has other plans when
Rachel and Grayson meet again when she takes her nephew Jordan to hockey practice
where Grayson teaches hockey to young kids. Slowly, they date and began to know each
other when Nico tries to get back together with her and her shop is vandalized too. Is it
Nico or it is someone else? Must read! Includes some recipes at the end like the yummy
Chocolate Lava Sundae! Also excerpts for three other books.

First book in the Indulgence Row series
Fun, clean read. Tall, handsome hero and a spunky redhead, the perfect combination for a romantic suspense. "Chocolate and girl power, who can best that?" Rachel Marconi and Graydon Green are an unlikely couple who meet by chance. Instantly intrigued, he can’t get her out of his head. As the mystery and suspense builds, Rachel truly finds that Graydon is a man who will stick with her through good times and bad. He is a man of action that shows his love and protects the woman he loves. They both have insecurities and family and friends who help and support them. Kristen Fields is the perfect best friend. I enjoyed Rachel’s boisterous Italian family and the focus on helping little nephew Stockton. Fun family scenes and sports antics. Some of my favorite scenes are of them ice skating and the DG reveal. These are real, relatable, characters with human faults and flaws just trying to be the best they can. I rate this PG due to the mild cursing, violent encounters, and heightened drama but this story contains no sex scenes. I really like that the author didn’t rush the characters into a quick relationship. Rachel didn’t even agree to date Graydon until page 88 and their had their first true kiss on page 116. It is refreshing to read about a developing friendship and a couple getting to know each other first. Little gems of wisdom are sprinkled throughout the story, “remember a man does not define your worth as a woman.”
This book is part of the crossover books that follow the residents of Crystal Creek.

*I received a copy of this book from the author. All opinions are uniquely my own.
