I loved the fact that the authors took the readers through different eras of time, different parts of the country and all the plots were completely an adventure. There were some stories I absolutely just loved and would have like to have full length novels of them. Some were just fine the way they were written. Each story had twists and turns and kept you guessing while others were clear and you know where they would take you.
I was fond of the story with the magical mirror ( and that I won't ruin the plot by saying anymore) and glad it ended with the correct ending rather than something other than it did.
I also thought our beloved couple in the war story would be a great full length novel however, it was great just as it was but it would have been a touching reunion back in London. (Just saying!)
I did find the plot of our Darcy and Lizzy in the brothel to be quite amusing and the plot was terrific! That would have been an excellent full length novel as well with their life in the old west!!
I won't go into anymore of the plots as to not ruin it for future readers. I was a great book to read as you could stop between each one and throw a batch of clothes into the dryer before you could return to the novel and not miss anything. It was a great endeavor on the part of the authors to create a novel such as this and I appreciate it and all involved. Thank you once again for your hard work. Lovely bouquet of short stories. Both from regency era, contemporary and everything in between. Strangely enough, I actually loved more of the contemporary than the regency...
My favourite was the western one.
There are several of the authors that are new to me and this is a lovely way to be introduced.
Will be buying some new books after reading this.

A bit to much rehash of canon to give it 5 stars.

Heartily recommend this book. Perfect for reading on the beach in the lovely summer weather.
I am a HUGE fan of pride and prejudice variations. I have read so many that I have lost count. This is filled with short stories written in Darcy's perspective (my favorite) by many of my favorite authors. I would highly recommend AND I don't see something as amazing as this coming along again. I bought this on preorder months ago and finally got a sick day to read it!! Don't miss out !!
This is a series of short stories both in Regency and Modern era. I thoroughly enjoyed all but two of them and those were the exception. It exposed me to several variation authors and, as a result, I have read some variations that I wouldn't have read. I am not a fan of modern variations, but these were all good and enjoyable. I have re-read several of them; a few, more than twice. If you want an interesting variety of stories involving ODC, then this is the book for you. I recommend it.
I am speechless! I am totally in awe of this book and its authors! Never, never did I expect a multi-authored book could be as incredible as this read was! No matter what I say in my awe of how great this book is, no matter which words I choose, no matter how or what I write, can I do justice to this amazing feat!!!!! I have not written a review in a while either because books I'd read were not outstanding, or there wasn't enough impetus for me to write anything positive. Each of the stories contained within this book was more amazing than the one before it (and I'm sure that would be true whichever order in which they were presented)!!! Maybe it was because the stories were confined to Mr. Darcy's point of view and each author seemed to have a topic of which his viewpoint was held (is that good English?!!!), but each author's contribution was unique, interesting, and original. Totally original!!! I am so glad I decided to go with it! I will read these stories again and again......and probably again!!! -)
This book was certainly hyped for months. So hyped it weaved its magic on me and I couldn't wait to get started. The anthology is 1) exactly what the title implies in that all the stories are from Darcy's POV. I was afraid they'd all be told in the first person but luckily that wasn't the case. And 2) they're split up into two parts Regency and "other eras."

I have to say I much preferred the "other eras" portion. Not that there was anything bad about the Regency part but the stories weren't as memorable as the second half. The only memorable one was the story by J. Marie Croft. Otherwise my vote is for the other era stories.

I would have to say my favorite stories were "Hot for Teacher" and "Darcy Strikes Out." The reason is simple as a teacher I loved having a story centered on my career and "realm" (and let's face it I've fantasized on occasion of having a David Gandy-esque principal and this story did me a great favor of verbalizing that fantasy haha). Plus I adore Sara Angelini's Trials of the Honorable F. Darcy so this story was a treat. As for "Darcy Strikes Out," it's centered around baseball, my favorite sport. So these two stories certainly were the most memorable for me.

But aside from my two favorites every single story in the other eras was memorable. There was a story from pretty different historical and time periods, from WW2 to the early 60s to the 1860s. I enjoyed the variety, which is part of the reason I didn't find the Regency as memorable. That would be the reason I give this 4.5 stars and not the full 5. But they're all honestly great stories and now I know I can go back and revisit them in whichever order I choose.

A few of the stories are racy, but for the most part they're clean. I was expecting a bit more from some of the authors considering their past stories, but it's spicy enough without being "raunchy."

This anthology certainly lived up to its hype )
