Life Lived Twice is a unique read. I enjoyed it, and it was very interesting to read because it dealt with the issue of reincarnation as well as soul jumping (kind of), plus some pretty unique plot twists. The book kept my interest and it was cool that the author switched back and forth between the past and the present because it was like we were reading two stories. And there was the added kicker of solving a "mystery" in the past life.Tess is an easily likable character. She is looking for place to live so she can start attending college, but surprisingly almost none of the book has to do with her time at school. Tess has a strange encounter with a boy at the airport. They are both reaching for the same book and when she looks up at him she calls him Addison. She has no idea why, because she doesn't know any Addison's and his name is not Addison. She only has his initials to go by, which are LB. The plot thickens when her new landlord, Dane looks so much like the airport guy, Logan. There looks like there might be something between Tess and Dane when she meets Logan again. I liked Dane and Logan. and I often felt conflicted between the two of them.
I am not going to tell you much more because this is the type of book that you need to experience for yourself. There are lots of twists and turns and those were my favorite part of the story. I really liked the mystery part of the book as well. Sherrie Wouters is not afraid to take risks with her writing and her characters and I appreciated that as a reader. She is also not afraid to have an unconventional ending. Life Lived Twice surprised me numerous time. Some surprises I loved, some not so much, but overall I appreciated and enjoyed the story.

Life lived twice is a tale that spans several lifetimes. Fundamentally, this book asks one question
Can love traverse time?
Initially, I really didn't enjoy the Insta-love, it bugged me because it felt so fake. How can you fall gut-wrenchingly in love with someone you touch hands with in an airport?
HOW?
If you can see past this little issue, you'll soon discover that it really wasn't Insta-love at the airport, no, it was an ancient Insta-love.
I get that heart-shattering Insta-love is something quite common in stories these days, and usually it's an insta-fail in my mind. This one, while still irritating, at least had some substance to it. And given that nothing raunchier than a kiss happens, it bucks the Insta-love trend hard.
Tess, our protagonist, is meant to be 20 years old and attending university, but she acts more like a 15 year old. She's indecisive and childish and frustratingly awkward. She's a lot of things that bothered me to be honest. I didn't really like her at all.
Logan, our love interest was pleasantly realistic. I don't have a picture of a Ken doll in my head. Instead something like a cheeky Irishman, dimples and twinkling eyes.
Some of the background information was dumped quite hastily by Aunt Krista, this annoyed me, but it was a minor annoyance.
If you like sweet romance with a twist of the paranormal unknown, try this tale.

Life lived twice started out with an interesting Prologue of a dream state. It was written by Sherri Wouters. It is about a 20-year-old girl named Tess.
Tess has lived a sheltered life, feeling fairly dependent upon her parents. At the age of 5 her family uprooted and moved and Tess can remember that it had something to do with her, yet she has no idea why and no one will tell her. After spending some time with relatives, Tess is flying home feeling very anxious about finally moving out on her own. In her anxiety she goes into a book store and bumps into a stranger trying to grab for the same book. The touch is electric and by the time she looks into his eyes she feels a connection deep within herself; out of nowhere she calls him “Addison.”
Tess finds herself wondering on the flight home where she would come up with a name that she has never heard and say it to a man that she had never met. Being assured that the stranger’s name was not Addison she drifts off to sleep… that is when the dreams/visions begin.
This book had excellent flow; I had a hard time putting it down for day to day obligations such as sleep. It was so enlightening to read this open-minded spiritual experience that Sherri has brilliantly transformed into a book. I could feel myself within the story with the characters and in the landscape. The characters were “real” people, and easy to connect with.
Life Lived Twice was very good at easing a more hesitant reader into a new realm of spiritual beliefs for one that might not be quite as familiar with the amazing universe we are all a part of. Sherry wrote this in such a manner that I find myself wondering if she is relatable to Tess or at the very least to Tess’s aunt.
This is a romance that is written in a way that can be compared to traditional historical romance stories, and yet stands out on completely on its own at the same time. My only complaint of the book was the ending. I felt as though the ending was not much closure, and was hoping for at the very least an Epilogue.
Sherri personally wrote to me about my comments to inform me that due to fan curiosity and request that she has a sequel in the works that will be released in 2015. As I excitedly await more to this story I can confidently give this book 5 out of 5 stars. Sherri obviously has the gift of storytelling and I hope that we will see more of her in the future with more than just Tess’s story. If you are into historical fiction, romance, spirituality, mystery, fiction, coming into one’s own, you will love this book.
